Raising Children Upon Tawheed and Sunnah

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

My dearest ones, the coolness of our eyes, the joy woven into every breath we take, know that what your Parents poured into your upbringing was nothing less than our whole hearts.

To the very best of our abilities, and may Allah forgive us our shortcomings, we raised you upon TAWHEED: pure, uncompromised, free from the shadows of innovation. We placed in your hands the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and we pointed your feet toward the path of our pious predecessors – the SALAF – those who walked closest to the light.

This was our gift. This was our prayer. This was our du’a whispered in the stillness of the night and the ache of the day.

May Allah the Most High keep our feet firm upon this until the moment we stand before Him. We are mirrors to one another, dear children.

When one of us wavers, let the other reflect the truth – gently, lovingly, with the mercy that binds those who share both blood and belief.

If we fall short, and we will, for we are human – remind us. If you fall short, we will remind you. This is not judgment. This is love in its highest form.

May Allah grant us ease in this world and the next. May He unite our hearts and keep us firm upon that which is most beloved to Him, the Most High. May He rectify our conditions, bind our family in His mercy, and gather us together in this life and in Jannah upon His pleasure – insha’Allah.
